Hard Hats, Suspensions, Chin Straps and Accessories

Hard hats with ratchet suspension, chin strap and accessory slots. We supply the color-by-function code your plant already has defined.

Personal Protective Equipment

The hard hat is the most visible PPE and the one most often replaced for the wrong reasons. A hat is retired after an impact, for a crack, for advanced polymer discoloration or because the suspension no longer holds. It is not retired for looking old, and it does not survive a blow just because nothing shows on the outside.

NOM-115-STPS-2009 classifies protective helmets and defines their specifications and test methods. What matters most in daily use is not the shell but the suspension: it is what absorbs the impact and what must be inspected and replaced.

We carry Type I hard hats with four- and six-point ratchet suspensions, chin straps, adapters for earmuffs and face shields, and the color-by-function code your plant already has defined.

What to check in this line

Ratchet suspension

Fine adjustment with one hand, even wearing gloves. It is what keeps the hat in place when bending over.

Chin strap

Mandatory for work at height and advisable where there is wind or frequent torso inclination.

Accessory slots

Adapters for earmuffs and face shields: the operator does not have to choose between a hat and hearing protection.

Color code by function

We supply the scheme your plant already uses, so visual identification on the floor does not change.

Where it is used

  • Civil works and construction
  • Maintenance with overhead work
  • Warehouses with high stacking

Questions

About hard hats

Immediately after any impact, even if no damage is visible. And by condition: cracks, advanced discoloration, a chalky surface or an expired suspension. Many manufacturers mark the date of manufacture inside the shell.

Yes, and it should be: it is the part that wears fastest. Replacing a suspension is far cheaper than replacing the whole hat.

Sparingly and away from the brim. Stickers hide cracks and some adhesives attack the shell polymer.

It classifies protective helmets and sets their specifications and test methods. It is the reference checked during inspection.
